Czech kayaker Hradílek splendidly surpassed his rivals

Vavřinec Hradílek, a Czech kayaker, finished his race in more then four seconds earlier than other competitors in the first heat K1M. Peter Kauzer from Slovenia with 86.46 and Sebasten Schubert from Germany with 86.73 were the closest to his time 82.43.

See the complete results here. The latter qualification K1M race starts at 5.30 p.m.

The first race was definitely disappointing for Michael Kurt from Schwitzerland, mounted as 4th. He got caught in the last upstream gate and he could not get through. Without the 50 seconds penalty, he would have had time 90.36. This time places him to the last position. Heates are not summing up though, the better one counts. Thus, he will have one more chance to get into the semifinal that is only for 40 participants.

Luboš Hilgert, another promising Czech expectation is currently on 7th place with a time 88.32.
