We thank the city for its support regarding the new slalom course project, and I believe that I will look into it during my term of office. I wish all competitors and organisers great success and fair races. Thank you for the welcome," he added.
Prof. Jan Kuklík from Charles University wished the competitors a lot of experiences: "We believe that you will feel good with us and that Prague will be a place you will not forget."

Chairman Stanislav Ježek spoke on behalf of the Czech Canoe Association, who thanked the representatives of Prague and the university. "I would like to thank the International Canoe Federation for giving us the chance to host this year's World Cup and thank all the partners and volunteers who are preparing this event. Good luck to all competitors. As a former Olympian, I understand how important racing is to you. But it's a sport and it should always be about fun. Enjoy your stay in Prague and good luck," said Stanislav Ježek.
The races start already on Thursday with the qualifications of male and female kayakers. The final races are scheduled for Friday afternoon.
