Silver Olympic medalist Benus won C1M
Category C1M started the final runs of Saturday program. Ryan Westley started as the first one in the finals from the tenth place in the semifinals and kept the leading position through most of the competition.
Matej Benus , candidate to win and the only Slovak in the final run of 2016 Prague World Cup ICF Canoe Slalom was two second faster than the leading Westley already after the first split. The last to threaten him was Benjamin Svasek from Slovenia who won the semifinals but two penalizations for touching the gate after the first half of the course dropped his chances to minimum. At last he finished third and saved the podium. First place for Benus, second Westley and third Savsek.
