Dear Sports Friends,

Czech Canoe Union is pleased to invite you to take part at the ICF Slalom Racing World Cup on river Vltava in Prague - Troja, Czech Republic.

We are extremely excited to host this event. Having proven high level experience from organizing of the top world ranking competitions accompanied with a very high degree of media exposure, Czech Canoe Union is ready to prepare and conduct this event at the highest possible level.

The slalom course was completely rebuilt and the new part of boathouse was opened after the flood in 2002. World Cup race 2007 was broadcasted live during three days, and that is why we also organize the race this year during three days. This coverage is the result of cooperation between the Organizing Committee and the Czech National TV which has a long experience from broadcasting of different disciplines of the sport.

Czech canoeing is ready to welcome all National Teams for the training and the competition and we hope that ICF Slalom Racing World Cup 2008 held on artificial slalom course in Prague - Troja will bring to you a lot of top sport results but also another dimension like Prague's historical monuments and culture. We are looking forward to see you in Prague.

ICF Slalom Racing World Cup 2008 will be run in accordance to the ICF Slalom Racing Competition Rules.

Official Training
Free official training in groups on slalom course in Prague - Troja for all participating teams will be organized from Monday 16^th June till Thursday 19^th June 2008.

Training during the year
Training on the slalom course is possible during the whole year. It is necessary to respect the right of priority training of the local club members and the training schedule, which you can find on the website in pdf format (http://troja.kanoe.cz/rozpis.pdf) or posted at the course. If you want to be added into the training schedule you have to make reservation via e-mail Tato e-mailová adresa je chráněna před spamboty. You need to buy pass (1/2 day, day or annual) at the reception and have it visibly placed on your boat or helmet. Time controlled (payment) operation is from April to September 8:00 - 20:00 and from October to March 9:00 - 18:00. Table of charges for training at the slalom course is also available on the website (http://troja.kanoe.cz/English/kanal.htm).

Video service:
Video service will be available for all countries at the tent for athletes. You can find more information at web site in the section "Race info" - Video service for teams.

Athlete's Village:
There will be a big tent for meeting, work and relaxation of the athletes. Toilets and showers will be available on the designated places in the boathouse.

Boat storage:
Boat storage racks will be placed at Athlete's Village.

Security:
Security service will be present on-site 24 hours per day from 19^th June till 22^nd June 2008.

Internet Access
Wireless internet access will be available at the boathouse and in part at the whitewater course.

Access pass and parking
Free access pass and car parking near the boathouse will be guaranteed for up to five vehicles per country.
