ECA Press Release: Organisers of the 2020 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Prague 2020 are working tirelessly to prepare the best possible championships in the current situation and to provide a safe environment for all participants of this biggest canoe slalom sporting event of the year. Athletes from 20 countries are expected to start in Czech Republic and the championships will be closed for the general public.
Paddleride already on Sunday 13 September
Also this year, the organisers of the upcoming ECA European canoe slalom championships 2020 have included the Paddleride for the public and sports fans on Sunday 13th September, as usual Prague city centre boat ride. One of the main organisers is again the actual European champion in K1 Vit Prindis, who will defend his title in a week in Prague at the upcoming championships.
The canoe slalom season peaks in Prague – Troja. New European champions will be crowned in two weeks
The international canoe slalom peak of the season for many competitors will be the European canoe slalom championships in Prague, which will host the event already after two years. Originally cancelled championships in London last spring is going to be replaced on Troja artificial slalom course on 18 – 20 September 2020. The complete Czech team will face the top competitors from all over Europe.
Preparation works for the ECA Canoe Slalom championships in Prague in full mode
In less than three weeks, Prague will host the next major sports event again. In the period of 18 to 20 September 2020, the artificial canoe slalom course in Prague – Troja will host the best paddlers of Europe who want to clash for the continental titles this year. The event will be organised under the strict sanitation rules according to the recent conditions stated by the Government of the Czech Republic.
