Team events of K1W and C1M closed 2018 European Senior Canoe Slalom Championships in Prague. German kaykers (Ricarda Funk, Jasmin Schornberg and Lisa Fritsche) became European champions in K1W. Silver medal goes to Austria (Corinna Kuhnle, Lisa Leitner, Viktoria Wolffhardt), bronze medal belongs to Czech girls (Kateřina Kudějová, Barbora Valíková, Veronika Vojtová).

K1W and C1M were fighting for last individual medals on Sunday at 2018 European Senior Canoe Slalom Championships in Prague. The best among the kayakers was Ricarda Funk from Germany. Corinna Kuhnle from Austria, who wanted to defend her title, finally reached silver medal. Bronze medal goes to Fiona Pennie from Great Britain.

The 19th ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships continued with the K1 women and C1 men semi-finals on Sunday morning. The host Czech Republic had the full team in a battle and the strong field in the final will also be with the four Czechs. And they do want to fight for medals in the afternoon finals.

There was absolutely the loudest atmosphere at 2018 European Senior Canoe Slalom Championships in Prague in K1M final. Fans were cheering and pushing forward every kayak on the water, not just Czech competitors.

RESULTS

First final race at the ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships 2018 in Prague brought two medals for domestic Czech teams in C2M category. Despite 2 seconds of penalties Jonáš Kašpar and Marek Šindler are Europe Champions, bronze medal goes to Ondřej Karlovský and Jakub Jáně. Robert Behling and Thomas Becker from Germany reached second place, less than one second behind winners.

Czech paddlers have a big medal chance in the first final day. Four boats in categories C2 and K1M managed to qualify into finals. The additional penalty eliminated Tereza Fišerová from final in category C1, so the Czech Republic has no representation in this category.
